Yes, there are easy ways to lose weight-as long as you see past all the diets and pills. By far the easiest way to lose weight is just to eat smart. Except for those with medical conditions, everyone can benifit from eating smart and it requires nothing but a little common sense.
By far the easiest step to take to lose weight is to stop eating fast food. Fast food is designed to taste good, be less filling, and to look pretty. Notice how I didn’t mention anything about nutrition? Your typical cheeseburger has more fat then protein and more grease then vitaimins; chicken nuggets are not any better, they are fried bits of hybrid-chicken parts that nobody would ever find in a supermarket. Try not eating fast food for a couple of days and notice how much better you feel. Still don’t believe that fast food is bad? Watch the documentary “Super Size Me” you will never eat at McDonalds again.
So you have cut out fast food, now what? Well how about taking your time and cooking a nice, balanced meal. Not a very good cook, or just lack the imagination required to make your own recipies; the internet is your friend. Search for recipies that sound good and use natural ingredients. Grilled chicken is extremely healty and cheap as is fish. Veggies are always welcome too. The main point is not what you eat, it just that you take your time and enjoy your food. The slower you eat, the less you eat, and the more satisfied you feel.
Ok so you have a nice big plate of homeade food, what to drink? Well soda is bad, write that down-remember that. Even diet sodas contain acids that dissolve teeth with each drink. Sugary sodas contain nothing that you want in your body; seriously for what reason would your body need hydrogenated corn syrup or yellow number 5? Actually, if you read the ingredients label of anything and it doesn’t natural, chances are its a preservative or some weird fat, and those aren’t good. So you seriously need a drink with your meal- beer is bad, drink a nice wine. Beers and most liquors are just like soda, they are empty calories (calories with no nutritional value) and should be avoided.
Notice how I haven’t said anything about exercise yet? That is because if you watch what you eat exercise becomes little more than an accelerator for losing weight. Simply, to lose weight you have to eat less calories than you burn. Exercise burns calories. It really doesn’t matter what kind of exercise you do but so long as you do it. Walking, running, weight lifting, biking, and everything else just serve to burn more calories (along with other health benifits).
If you use your brain and eat sensibly you can lose weight easily. Watch what you eat, avoid processed and fast food, and avoid junk foods and you will be just fine. As for diets, just remember Dr. Atkins died of a massive heart attack while on his own diet, and most others exist only to take your money. Be smart, eat smart, live smart!
